Lil Baby recently provided halftime entertainment for McDonald’s All American Games. The event is a yearly basketball tournament that brings together young athletes from all over the U.S. and Canada.
The 27-year-old rapper’s performance went down this past Tuesday at Chicago‘s Wintrust Arena. Notably, the occasion marked the 45th anniversary of the All American Games. A total of 48 athletes participated in the event, and they were divided up by gender and coastal affiliation (i.e., East vs. West).
While the 45th annual All American Game, which was nearly sold out, was already enough to keep attendees captivated, rap superstar Lil Baby providing the halftime entertainment was a nice cherry on top.
The artist’s highly anticipated performance was 10 minutes long, and the young athletes joined him on court during the set.
The rapper was sure to pull up to the arena in his very best drip, with the main focus being his burnt orange puffer jacket.
Shortly thereafter, all eyes were on the artist, though he didn’t mind sharing the spotlight with the young MVPs.
In fact, most photos taken of Lil Baby‘s set show the athletes right beside him on the court.
Aside from his actual performance, Lil Baby was spotted hanging out with the teams as they warmed up.
The rapper also took a moment to try showing off his on-court moves.
While it’s unclear whether or not Lil Baby was making his shots, he sure looked like he was having a ball.
Amari Bailey, whose mother—Johanna Leia—was previously romantically linked to Drake, was spotted near Lil Baby during this free time.
The “On Me” rapper also posed for some pics with other participants.
All in all, Lil Baby proved to be supportive of the players and a hit among attendees.
