Did Emmy nominee Donald Glover decide to do a bit of method acting by showing up as one of Atlanta‘s most iconic characters, Teddy Perkins, from the bizarre and highly popular episode, directed by Hiro Murai.
The Darius (Lakeith Stanfield) centered episode in the show’s Robbin Season initially aired without commercials on FX in April and was met with a lot of critical acclaim. Many also wondered if the show’s co-creator and star was under the Michael Jackson-esque mask.
So, it was exceptionally noticeable when Glover (or someone else) decided to show up at the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards in full Teddy Perkins regalia.

They just cut to Donald Glover sans makeup, and no way he gets this off that quickly. I’m betting that’s Lakeith Stanfield in the Teddy Perkins gear. https://t.co/4FhJUFIUE4
