Keke Palmer and Jack Whitehall star as a couple whose idyllic suburban life is changed for the horrific in teaser trailer for the upcoming Peacock horror-comedy, The ‘Burbs.
Created, written and executive produced by Celeste Hughey, the series is a reboot of sorts of the ’80s Tom Hanks black comedy film of the same name about an odd new neighbor that alters the balance of a quaint neighborhood.
According to the official logline, the series “follows a young couple who have reluctantly relocated to the husband’s childhood home. Their world is upended when a new neighbor moves in across the street, bringing old secrets of the cul-de-sac to light, and new deadly threats shatter the illusion of their quiet little neighborhood.”

The series also stars Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch, Justin Kirk and Kapil Talwalkar.
Along with Hughey, executive producers include Palmer, series writer Rachel Shukert, Seth MacFarlane via Fuzzy Door and Fuzzy Door’s Erica Huggins and Aimee Carlson, Brian Grazer for Imagine Entertainment and Imagine’s Kristen Zolner and Natalie Berkus. Director Nzingha Stewart also executive produces, with Dana Olsen co-executive producing. UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, produces.
