After a wait of over a year, we finally know when The Vince Staples Show is coming back to Netflix!
The self-titled series stars the rapper in a hilarious story of day-to-day living. While the first season followed his “challenges and surprises of everyday life in his hometown of The Beach,”
Season 2 promises more introspection, but with the same absurdity as before.
This season, Staples goes on “a wild journey in search of inner peace” after a tragic death. “However,” the description continues, “his path is littered with reminders of his past.”
Recurring guest stars include Vanessa Bell Calloway and Naté Jones.
Here’s what Vince Staples said about Season 1 of the show
Speaking to Blavity’s Shadow and Act about Season 1 of the show, Staples told us back in 2024, “I feel like if they’re watching it, man, I’m just grateful that people took the time to watch this show. It’s a quick binge, especially on Netflix. You know we like to watch things at once. So I mean, whatever they take from it, I’m grateful because I put so much into the show, and there’s so much nuance. I just want people to realize the hard work that went into the show [and] my involvement with the show. Like I did every aspect of this show. So, if people can just walk away from it knowing that I really put a lot into it and I’m really trying to push my creativity to a new balance, that’s enough for me. But whatever they take from it, I’m grateful.”
