A second man who contributed to Mac Miller‘s untimely death has been hit with a lengthy prison sentence.
For his role in the rapper’s fatal, fentanyl-related overdose, 49-year-old Stephen Walter has been sentenced to 17.5 years behind bars.

Walter’s sentence comes about a month after another dealer named Ryan Reavis was sentenced to approximately 11 years in prison for his role in the matter.
The case against a third man, Cameron Pettit, is still pending. Pettit was charged with selling the lethal drugs to Mac Miller in 2019.
While Pettit was the one who allegedly gave the fentanyl-laced pills to Mac Miller, Reavis was the one who supplied the dealer with the drugs, and this was allegedly done at Walter’s behest.
Walter pleaded guilty to fentanyl distribution this past October — a charge that carries a minimum sentence of 20 years in federal prison. However, he worked out a deal to serve precisely 17 years behind bars.
Judge Otis D. Wright II ultimately rejected this deal because Walter allegedly continued selling pills until 2019, well after Mac Miller’s death.
“The court has elected not to accept that plea agreement,” the judge said. “When you continue to engage in this activity even after your activities killed someone, I’m having a tough time not staying within the guidelines.”
Resultingly, the sentence was upped to 17.5 years.
In response to the news, people have had varying reactions. While some rejoiced in Walter being hit with a 17.5-year prison sentence, not everyone is on the same page.

I personally think the drug dealer who sold Mac Miller the drugs shouldnt get 17.5yrs… no one put a gun 2 his head & said “buy these drugs or its over for yo ass.” People OD everyday & we don’t go out & prosecute those drug dealers but, here a white celebrity dies..
