A Dallas woman is facing wide criticism from social media users after she opened up about how she was robbed by a man she recently met online and invited to her house.
“I was robbed by someone that I trusted that I had met on Hinge, the dating app,” the woman said in a TikTok video. “We’ve only known each other for like 12 days. Yes, I know I’m an idiot for inviting a man I didn’t know into my house multiple times in the last week and a half.”
She met a man on hinge and 12 days later he robbed her. Im shocked at what he looks like. People in the comments said his pics were a dead giveaway. pic.twitter.com/4hmt8QtEJJ

While admitting that she saw multiple red flags, the woman said she still trusted the man and he ended up stealing $10,000 from her.
“I know he looks like a scammer, but attraction is attraction,” the woman said. “And I fell for that.”
The Hinge user described the robber as “lovey-dovey.”
“I was trusting and very nice,” she said. “And he stole from me.”
According to the woman, the pair “became official” shortly after they met.
“I’m assuming now we’re not,” she said, adding that the man stopped answering her texts and calls for a while.
The woman showed a photo of the man to warn other women in the Dallas area.
“He has a tattoo on his neck and tattoos on his arm,” she said. “Ladies if you see him, please don’t mess with him.”
In a follow up video, the woman said she heard from another woman who says the robber is her “baby daddy” and he has two children. The scammer allegedly planned to go on a shopping spree with the mother of his child, using the $10,000 he stole from the Hinge user.
The Dallas woman said the robber is now sending threatening messages to her and begging her to not break up with him. She also said she has contacted police and plans to hire a lawyer.

Social media users aren’t showing sympathy for the woman.
What bank does she have that would allow someone to move $10K that fast that doesn’t require confirmation? Unless it was money she had in person?

The woman said she will not be so naïve moving forward.
“I’m a very trusting person. I need to work on that. I will no longer be trusting anyone,” she said.
