The Unite the Right rally spurred outrage from celebrities, activists and media personalities who could not believe President Donald Trump's weak and tempered response to the unrest and violence coming from the united group of Confederate supporters, neo-Nazis and various other white nationalist groups.
News about Saturday's protest was dominated by 20-year-old James Alex Fields Jr.'s attack on counter-protesters. He was arrested after ramming a Dodge Challenger into a crowd of protesters and bystanders killing one and injuring 19.
All of this unrest was over the planned removal of a General Robert E. Lee statue in Emancipation Park in Charlottesville, Virginia.
