Basketball legend LeBron James’ youngest son Bryce James has committed to the University of Arizona. The 17-year-old will join the Wildcats in the fall as one of the top recruits in the 2025 class.

On Wednesday, Bryce announced on Instagram with a photoshopped image of himself wearing a Wildcat uniform and walking alongside head coach Tommy Lloyd.

“100% committed 🐻 ⬇️,” Bryce captioned the photo.

According to ESPN scouts, Bryce is a four-star prospect. Last year, he averaged 6.9 points and 2.2 rebounds in 14 games for his father’s Strive for Greatness program on the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League circuit. According to ESPN, his shooting percentages include 39% from the field and 36.8% from the three-point range.

In addition to receiving an offer from Ohio State, Bryce received an offer from Duquesne, per CNN. In the summer of 2022, The Dukes extended James his first offer, and in the fall of 2023, he visited Ohio State unofficially. Before his decisions, he made an unofficial visit to Arizona’s campus.

Bryce will join top prospect Dwayne Aristode, who committed in October. Among the top 15 players reportedly being coveted by the Wildcats are Koa Peat, Brayden Burries and Alijah Arenas.

The Lakers star and his wife, Savannah James, congratulated their son on their personal Instagram pages. The proud parents both posted the same graphic that Bryce posted on Instagram.

“🐻 DOWN⬇️!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS MAXIMUS!! SO PROUD OF YOU!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🤎🤎🤎🥺🥺🥺🤴🏾 #JamesGang👑,” James captioned his post.

“So proud of you @_justbryce!! 💙❤️ Your silent hustle has definitely not gone unnoticed!! I’m so excited for you and I can’t wait to cheer you on through this journey! 🐻 Down! 💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️,” his mother wrote.
