Yikes. Word got out that Chrisette Michele may perform at Donald Trump’s inaugural ceremonies this Friday.

It's alleged that her camp kept it a secret, fearing the heavy criticism that would come with performing for such a “controversial” political entity. Reps for the singer have yet to make an official statement, but that didn't stop the Twitterverse from hilariously chiming in.

Many were surprised with Michele’s decision.

Some were outright shocked.

Some people would literally pay her to be a no-show.

Others were ready to revoke her seat…

…as well as her plate at the cookout.

Memes and GIFs were flying off, each dripping with disapproval of the singer’s decision.

This wouldn't be the first time Chrisette Michele ended up on the wrong side of Black Twitter. She was blasted online when she criticized the Black Lives Matter movement by promoting the idea that marches and protests do nothing for progress and change.

If she attends, Michele will be in the company of Travis Green, Toby Keith and 3 Doors Down.
